Wellness and Health Integrated Program (WHIP)

An initiative that strengthens access to quality health services for widows, their dependants, and the wider community, promoting preventive, promotive, curative and restorative healthcare, including SRHR, NCDs, HIV and TB services, mental health support and community-based care.

What we are doing

• Engaging widows and their dependants in designing and implementing health interventions.
• Strengthening community referral networks to improve access to healthcare services.
• Supporting community health volunteers and healthcare workers to respond to the health needs of vulnerable households.
• Promoting disease prevention, sanitation, hygiene, and healthy lifestyles.
• Delivering health education to improve community knowledge, attitudes, and practices.
• Integrating mental health and psychosocial support into community health programming.
• Leveraging technology to strengthen program monitoring, learning, and impact measurement.
